Skip Ahead

Is there a way to skip over to the parts I need without going through all the quizzes? I am trying to run a business here too.

Hi John,

We do not have a way to let you skip over any of the quizzes in a course – the software doesn’t give us that option.

Even though I understand the desire to skip ahead to certain content, we do put things in a particular order that is important for learning the material, so you do benefit from going through in that order.

If there is something in particular you are wanting to learn about ASAP, let me know. We might have a video at Appliantology that could help.

Are you wanting to earn Certification in the courses? I noticed a few scores that are below the requirement in some of the Advanced courses. Do you want me to do any resets?

Hi Susan,

I have 3 years of experience as a technician but I have been a mailman for the past 2.5 years because I wasn’t good at appliance repair. I had a dryer that I think was shorted to ground. It was setting the fire alarm off. The customer has since ordered a new dryer. I spent 6 hours on this dryer and I didn’t want to accept payment because I didn’t fix it. I have tried several times in the past and my reputation was poor because my skill level was poor and some customers got upset. I tried in the past to put my head in the sand like an osterich. The customer gave me $20 out of pitty. I had forgotten how hard appliance repair really is. I also have forgotten what I used to know.

Its too bad that I can’t learn like in the movie the matrix where they learn how to fly a helicopter in a few seconds.

Yes please reset my tests that are not acceptable. I want to earn the certification and be proud to know what I am doing.

I hear what you are saying about Matrix-style learning!

Remember that we don’t have the ability to reset individual quizzes, only to set you back to an earlier point in the course, which clears all tests taken after that point.

In the Advanced Refrigerator course, I would need to set you back to Mod. 1, unit 4. ** Let me know if you want me to do that **

In the Advanced Washer, Dryer, and Dishwasher course, you only used the first attempts on those quizzes. Do you still want me to clear the course, or would you prefer just to go through and use your second attempts to see if you can get the required scores?
